COLIN LLOYD RETAINS WEST TYRONE TITLE

For the second successive year, Colin Lloyd won the West Tyrone Open taking a 6-5 win against Dennis Priestly in the final played on Sunday 27th.

Last year's final was against Bob Anderson and this form was still in play for him to secure his first tournament win of 2005.

Lloyd (who wins 5 ranking points) beat Graeme Stoddart pictured right (3 ranking points) to reach the final while the "evergreen" Priestley (4 ranking points) knocked out fellow veteran Bob Anderson (3 points) in the semi's.

Losing quarter-finalists were Paul Williams, Keith Deller, Steve Maish and Denis Ovens who get 2 points each and reaching the last 16 and earning 1 point each were Chris Mason, Shayne Burgess, Reg Harding, Lionel Sams, S Pearson, Jamie Harvey, Wes Newton and Alex Roy.

Losing ranking points will be John Part (the 2003 holder), Peter Manley and Ritchie Burnett (who also reached the closing stages two years ago).
