Kevin Mc Grath
Irish Open Memorial
(Irish
players only)
One of the biggest and prestigious darts tournaments
to take part in Ireland is the Irish Open renamed the
Kevin McGrath Irish Open Memorial which is
only open to Irish based dart players.
This prestigious tournament was renamed in
2006 in memory of the late the Kevin McGrath who
has now passed away. Kevin who comes from Bambridge in
Co. Down never missed a PDC or invited tournament which
was organised over the years in Irvinestown, Killybeg,
and Castlebar so the organisers would like to pay
tribute to Kevin by renaming this prestigious Irish Open
(Irish Players Only) in memory of
Kevin’s name.
2007 Kevin McGrath Memorial:
Over 80 players gathered at 1-pm on Friday afternoon
for the 9th annual Irish Open Individual
(Irish players only) now named the
Kevin McGrath Memorial which is always Avery popular
event in the West Tyrone Open Darts Festival.
It was N. Ireland’s top PDC member Brendan Dolan who
was crowned champion defeating Kilyleagh’s Andrew
Coulter on a 5-3 score-line in the final.
